We need your help with our 2013 calendar!

 Every year we create a calendar for our community with a different community theme. For example, the theme for the 2012 calendar was local plant and animal species at risk.

 2013 is the International Year of Water Cooperation and I would like to highlight the importance of water in our communities (within the riding of Nanaimo-Cowichan) with 13 photos of local waterways and interesting water related facts.  

 What we are looking for is:

• Photos, preferably landscape orientation, of a local waterway, for example Lake Cowichan or the Chemainus River
• Name of the photographer, date photograph was taken, and location of the photograph
• Interesting facts (i.e. about water use, water conservation, etc.)
• Highest digital quality possible - i.e. it needs to be electronic
• Must work in black and white

The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 7, 2012.
